Refund & Returns Policy (Australia)
Effective Date: 15/04/2025 | Last Updated: 15/04/2025
At ThinkIP, your satisfaction is important to us. We comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). This policy outlines your rights and our obligations when it comes to refunds, returns, and replacements for purchases made through our website www.ThinkIP.au.
1. Your Consumer Rights Under Australian Law
You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product you purchase:
- Is faulty or damaged
- Is not as described or does not do what we said it would
- Is not fit for its intended purpose
- Fails to meet consumer guarantees set out by the Australian Consumer Law
These rights apply to both physical and digital products, and cannot be excluded by our policy.
2. Change of Mind
Under Australian law, businesses are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you simply change your mind, make a wrong selection, or find the product cheaper elsewhere. However, at our discretion, we may offer a store credit or exchange in certain circumstances. Please contact us within 7 days of purchase if you wish to discuss this.
3. Physical Products (Books)
If you receive a physical book that is damaged, defective, or incorrect:
- Contact us within 14 days of delivery at admin@thinkIP.au
- Provide your order number and photos of the issue
- We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you
Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns (if approved at our discretion) are the responsibility of the customer.
4. Digital Products (eBooks, Online Courses, Downloads)
Due to the nature of digital products, we generally do not offer refunds once a digital product has been downloaded or accessed. Exceptions apply where:
- The product is faulty or not as described
- You experienced a technical issue preventing access, which we are unable to resolve
Please contact us within 7 days of purchase if you experience an issue with a digital product.
5. Online Courses and Memberships
If you have purchased access to an online course or membership and have not yet accessed any content, you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase. Once course content has been accessed, refunds will only be provided if there is a major failure with the product or service as defined under the ACL.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or return, please contact us at:
- Email: admin@thinkIP.au
- Website: www.ThinkIP.au
Please include your name, order number, and reason for the request. We aim to respond within 2 business days.
7. Processing Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days to your original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.
8. Disputes
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) at www.accc.gov.au or your relevant state consumer protection agency.
